Be Loosed

| Sermon by Prophet Kobus van Renburg |

Jesus came for His own people, the people of Israel, to give them the Kingdom. They refused to accept it and He said that it is going to be taken away and be given to another group called Zion. Zion is the church and not a cultural group. Zion is the city of the Living God that is set on a hill and it is the church. Prophesies concerning Zion is not for Israel in the Middle East.

Luke 19:29-34 (Amplified) When He came near Bethphage and Bethany at the mount called [the Mount of] Olives, He sent two of His disciples, telling [them]: “Go into the village yonder; there, as you go in, you will find a donkey’s colt tied, on which no man has ever yet sat. LOOSE IT and bring [it here].” If anybody asks you, Why are you untying [it]? You shall say this: Because THE LORD HAS NEED OF IT. So those who were sent went away and found it [just] as He had told them. And as they were loosening the colt, its owners said to them, Why are you untying the colt? And they said, The Lord has need of IT.

Jesus gave them the command to loose the donkey and if the people should ask why they loosed it, their answer should be that the Lord needs it.

Luke 19:34 (KJV) And they said, The Lord hath need of HIM.

Matthew 21:1-3 (Amplified) And when they came near Jerusalem and had reached Bethphage at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples on ahead. Saying to them: “Go into the village that is opposite you, and at once you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her; untie [THEM] and bring [THEM] to Me. If anyone says anything to you, you shall reply, The Lord needs THEM, and he will let THEM go without delay.”

In Luke the donkey is referred to as, “him” while in Matthew, as “them”. Matthew was writing to the Jews and kept on referring to the prophecies, but Luke wrote to the heathen nations. Matthew.

Matthew 21:4 (Amplified) This happened that what was spoken by the prophet might be fulfilled. Saying: “Say to the Daughter of ZION [inhabitants of Jerusalem], Behold, your King is coming to you, lowly and riding on a donkey, and on A COLT, the FOAL OF A DONKEY [a beast of burden].” [Isaiah 62:11; Zechariah 9:9].

The donkey refers to the old and the colt refers to the new. Jesus came into Jerusalem riding on the donkey with His Feet on the colt. In Luke and Mark it is said that the people threw their clothes on the colt. Jesus entered in with the old, bringing in the new.

Isaiah 52:1-2 (KJV) AWAKE, awake; put on thy strength, O ZION; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean. SHAKE YOURSELF FROM THE DUST; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem: LOOSE THYSELF FROM THE BANDS of THY NECK, O captive daughter of Zion.

This is the prophetic word of Jesus when He came into Jerusalem. Isaiah 52 & 53 refer to how He entered Jerusalem and how He was crucified. “Bonds on your neck” refers to a yoke. People used to put yokes on donkeys for the work they had to do. Isaiah 10:27 says that the yoke shall be utterly destroyed because of the anointing. Jesus came as the Christ, meaning the Anointed One. When Christ came, He broke the bonds on their necks. Jesus came on the old donkey, meaning that He was destroying the yoke from them. The new colt means that when Christ comes there shall be no yokes around their necks and they shall be free. Jesus told them that He wanted to set them free from the bond of the Law. Matthew 11:28 says that you must come to Jesus and lay your cares and burdens down because He gives rest.

When Jesus was crucified and came out of the tomb He gave the disciples the promise that He will not leave them comfortless or as orphans. He sent the Holy Spirit and said, “I will be with you.” In Matthew 28 when Jesus rose from the dead He said that all the authority in heaven and on the earth was given to Him. He sent them to go and make disciples of all the nations and then He told them that He is with them.

Daniel 3:23-25 (KJV) And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astounded, and rose up in haste, and spoke, and said unto his counselors: “Did not we cast three men BOUND into the midst of the fire?” They answered and said unto the king, True O king. He answered and said Lo, I see four men LOOSE, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

Jesus said that He will be with us even till the end of the age. He says that He will never leave nor forsake us. The three friends of Daniel were thrown into the fire, being bound. In the fire they were loosed and the Son of God was with them. When you go into fiery trials and you are bound, there will be a loosening when you realize that the Son of God is with you.

Judges 15:7-14 (KJV) And Samson said unto them, Though you have done this, yet will I be avenged of you, and after that I will cease. And he smote them hip and thigh with a great slaughter: and he went down and dwelt in the top of the rock Etam. Then the Philistines went up, and pitched in Judah, and spread themselves in Lehi. And the men of Judah said, Why are you come up against us? And they answered, To BIND Samson are we come up, to do to him as he hath done to us. Then three thousand men of Judah went to the top of the rock Etam, and said to Samson, Know thou not that the Philistines are rulers over us? What is this that thou have done unto us? And he said unto them, As they did unto me, so have I done unto them. And they said unto him, We are come down to BIND thee, that we may deliver thee into the hand of the Philistines. And Samson said unto them, Swear unto me, that you would not fall upon me yourselves. And they spoke unto him, saying, no; but we will bind thee fast, and deliver thee into their hand: but surely we will not kill thee. And they BOUND him with two new cords, and brought him up from the rock. And when he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him: and the SPIRIT OF THE LORD CAME MIGHTILY UPON HIM, and the cords that were upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and HIS BANDS LOOSED from off his hands.

The Anointing or the Spirit of the LORD breaks the yokes.

Judges 15:15 (KJV) And he found a new jawbone of an ass, and put forth his hand, and took it, and slew a thousand men therewith. And Samson said: “With the jawbone of an ass, heaps upon heaps, with the JAW OF A DONKEY have I slain a thousand men.” And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking, that he cast away the jawbone out of his hand, and called that place Ramathlehi. And he was sore athirst, and called on the LORD, and said, Thou has given this great deliverance into the hand of thy servant: and now shall I die for THIRST, and fall into the hand of the uncircumcised? But God CLEFT A HOLLOW PLACE that was in the jaw, and there CAME WATER OUT; and when he had drunk, his spirit came again, and he REVIVED: wherefore he called the name thereof Enhakkore, which is in Lehi unto this day. And he judged Israel in the days of the Philistines twenty years.

Jesus came into Jerusalem on the donkey, which means that the old that had to go and those who were bound had to be set free. Samson was freed from the yoke and took a jawbone of a donkey to slay his enemies.

David wrote in the Psalms how he thirsts and God split the Rock for the children of Israel, but they were not thirsty. 1 Corinthians 10 says that Christ is the Rock that was split open to bring water. Samson had a revival. He was revived when he was loosed because of the Anointing. God split the Rock (Christ) to bring the waters of revival. People fell bound by what the world is doing to them, what their past did to them or they feel bound by what their family members did to them. We, the church, are supposed to be the most liberated and freed, revived group of people on the earth with nothing tying and binding us. We are supposed to ride on the top of the mountain twenty-four hours a day in victory. Paul wrote to the Romans saying that in all the tribulations and hunger and things, we are more than conquerors through Christ. Nothing can bind you if Christ has loosed you. God has given us the prophetic word that says, “Arise Zion! Rise and shake yourself because you are going to be loosed. The Master has need of them all.”

The gospel was preached to Abraham. He was the first to hear the gospel that says that Christ, the Rock will come to give us water so that we can be loosed. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law. He redeemed us from the yoke that bound us: the Law. Christ redeemed us and broke that yoke from our necks. He became the curse so that we can have the blessings(Galatians 3). We also received the Spirit by faith. Jesus said that He would not leave us comfortless, but He sent us the Holy Spirit. God is with us.

Luke 13:10-17 (KJV) And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. And, behold, there was a woman, who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself. And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, THOU ART LOOSED from thy infirmity. And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the Sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the Sabbath day. The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, does not each one of you on the Sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering? And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom SATAN HAS BOUND, lo, these eighteen years, to BE LOOSED FROM THIS BOND on the Sabbath day? And when he had said these things, all HIS ADVERSARIES were ASHAMED: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.

The rulers of the synagogue were the religious crowd of that day. In our day it can be the preacher, the pastor or the reverent. Jesus referred to the ox and the donkey, because they were the animals with the yokes on their necks. Jesus needed the donkey and the colt and told His disciples to loose them. The King was riding on the donkey, the colt. Now He tells Zion to arise and to be loosed from the yokes around their necks. The yoke shall be destroyed because of the Anointing (Isaiah 10:27). Christ came to loose the church. People that oppose the freedom of the children of God and those who bring freedom to others will bind them, like Samson’s brothers. This woman in the synagogue was bound, but because she is a daughter of Abraham she needed to be loosed. Jesus explained to them in a language they could understand: about oxen and donkeys that had to be loosed. This woman is not a daughter of Moses, the Law. If you belong to Christ, you are Abraham’s seed and an heir according to the promise (Galatians 3:29).

The promise is that you are going to be redeemed from the yoke of the curse of the Law and that you will receive the promised Holy Spirit Who promises that He will be with you. When He is with you, like the fourth Man in the fire, you will be loosed from all the bonds that have been upon you.

Matthew 18:18-20 (Amplified) Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father, Who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there AM I IN THE MIDST OF THEM.

When you come together to bind and loose God’s people, God is with us to see to it that whatever we do shall be so. When the three friends of Daniel were thrown into the fire, they were loosed and God was there in their midst.

Lazarus was dead and when Jesus came to the grave and asked them to open it they told Him that He was dead for four days and stinks.

John 11:41-44 (KJV) Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou have heard me. And I knew that thou heard me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, which they may believe that thou have sent me. And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with grave clothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus said unto them, “LOOSE HIM, and let him go.”

The mummies were wrapped completely and he came out of the grave supernaturally. He was still wrapped in the clothes. Then Jesus told the people to loose him and let him go. Jesus did His part by raising him and calling him out. Now they must loose him and let him go. Whatsoever you bind on the earth, shall be bound in heaven. Lazarus was bound and Jesus Christ, the Anointed came to Zion. He is with us to destroy the yokes that are on our necks. Jesus did His part and the Anointing is now with us. When two shall agree touching anything on earth, it shall be done. When you loose things, it shall be loosed.

You have to realize that there must two or three agreeing, knowing that God is in the midst of them.

You do not have to go to another deliverer. John 20:17-21 says that if you forgive the people they shall be forgiven. Matthew 16,18 – We’ve got the power by the authority of Jesus to loose each other. Let the other go and be free. Don’t sit with bonds around our necks. We have the power to loose them and let them go.

There are so many things that can bind you. It can be sicknesses or unforgiveness. It can be situations or your background. Take the Word of God and tell them, “Be loosed!”
