Change the scenery, Change the sound
Rev 1:1 (KJV) The revelation… I want to help some people. The Greek word for revelation is apocalypse. It doesn’t mean end, it doesn’t mean destruction, it doesn’t mean chaos, it doesn’t mean world-wars, it doesn’t mean weapons of mass-destruction. It means: to open up and reveal. So Revelation means something is going to open up when we read this Book. It doesn’t mean chaos is goingto hit us, it doesn’t mean catastrophe is going to overtake the world. It means something is about to be opened.
Rev 1:1 (KJV) The revelation of Jesus Christ… (If you miss that, you’ve missed the Book)… which God gave unto him, to show unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified [it] by his angel unto his servant John.
Are you now ready for the revelation?
:2 …who bear record… So, here is the revelation of Jesus Christ. The angel came, and showed it to John. John said: Now I’m going to bear record about the revelation of Jesus Christ.’ Just the two verses, get something out of it. It’s going to breathe some supernatural strength in you. If we take every word slowly, it’s going to break us through in revelation.
:2 …who bear record … of the Word of God The revelation of Jesus Christ. The angel came and said: ‘John, can you bear record of the revelation?’ So John said: ‘I will bear record about the Word of God.’
That is the revelation, it’s so simple. It starts off with Gen 1:1-3 (KJV) In the beginning God created the heavens and earth. The earth was dark and empty, without form. And God said: … It’s so easy.
John 1:1-3 (KJV) In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, and everything that was made was made by Him, and without Him was nothing made that was made. The revelation of Jesus Christ. John says: ‘I bear record about the Word.’
Look at Rev 19:10 And I fell at his feet … This was the angel that brought the message. So John was now busy listening. He said: And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See [thou do it] not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have testimony of Jesus.
Worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophesy.
:11 …called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
:12 His eyes [were] as a flame of fire, and on his head [were] many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself
:13 And he [was] clothed with a vesture dipped in blood (Isaiah 63) and his name is called The Word of God. What is His name called? The Word of God
He is riding a white horse across the land, He’s got many crowns, a vesture dipped in blood and He’s got a name. His name is called … ‘The Word of God. ‘ God said: ‘I’m going to make it simple. Mary, the Holy Spirit is going to come upon you. The power of the Most High is going to overshadow you. And the Holy Thing that’s going to be born will be called: The Son of God. But you shall cal His name Jesus.’
So His name is Word, but His name is Jesus. So what happens when we say: ‘ Jesus’? We say:’ Word’
Every time we say: ’In the Name of Jesus’, we say: ‘In the Name of the Word of God.’ What do we actually say? We bring into this situation the revelation that will bear record of what in the beginning said: ‘Let there be light … let there be firmaments … let there be planets … let there be trees and grass … let there be animals. We bring that creation-word into situations. When I say: ‘Jesus!’, I bring the revelation of Jesus Christ, which is the record that I’m going to bear, which is the Word that created everything, that was in the beginning with God, that was God, that made everything and without Him nothing was made.
Heb 1:2 (KJV) He upholds everything with the power of His Word. Everything is Word, Word, Word!!
Gen 1:1-31 (KJV) Ten times God said … and He saw … and it was … and God said … and He saw … and it was. Before there was sight, there was sound. So, if you want to change the scenery, you got to change the sound! Is that all right?
Say: ‘If I want to change my scenery, I got to change my sound.’
Before there was sight, there was sound.
It was dark and God said: ‘Let there be light’, and everything changed. God said …, and then the Bible said that Gad saw that it was good, and then God said …, and then God saw that it was good and then God said …
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God and everything that was made, was made by Him. So, ‘I bring you the revelation of Jesus Christ, I’m going to bear record about the Word.’
I said so many times that you can’t get away from John 1.14 (KJV) where it says: This Word became flesh. When the Spirit came upon Mary, God said: ‘How am I going to make humanity understand how I operate? I’m going to give them a revelation of myself, how am I going to do that? I’m going to take my Word and bring it amongst them. But how? I have to put my Word in flesh.’ So, wherever Jesus walked, there was God’s creative power in operation.
So, here comes the Word that said: ‘Let there be light….’ He doesn’t talk like the Pharisees, His word is with power. Even the demons listen when He speaks. Oh! The storms go lie down when He opens His mouth. Oh! The dead comes out. It can’t be otherwise. This is the Creation Word in flesh. Now He is showing us God’s operating force and power. When He opens His mouth … that is the revelation: God is showing how He works.
And if we get that! So simple, so profound, so easy, yet so deep, so on- the- surface, yet so divinely to be explored.
In other words: If I say: ‘In the name of Jesus” I call all of creation’s power into the situation that I speak the Name over. If I understand the Name, because I don’t say: In the name of the Word.’
I must get the revelation of Jesus Christ which I can bear record of. This is the Word of God. So God makes it easy and says: ‘I’m going to give Him a Name … call Him Jesus!”
So I say: ‘Jesus’ and everything that made everything that I see, (before there was sight there was sound) – everything that can now be seen was invisible at a time – I call all that power … phew! into my mouth, into that situation that I speak on. ‘In Jesus Name…’ The sick must be healed, the cripples must walk, finances must be sorted out and demons must pack up…
Now for a fresh wind on scripture:
Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
:17 And these signs… So many people know the EXIT-sign, or the bathroom-sign; ladies and gents.
But what about signs that point us to God. What about signs of cripples that are getting out of wheelchairs and throwing away their braces and their crutches.
:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name… Now, get the revelation. What is His Name? What is the Word? It’s God Himself; it’s the operating power of the Unseen God coming into the seen- world, by putting a voice to the spirit and say: ’Let there be….’
:17 …In my Name they shall cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents,
:18 and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.
:19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
:20 And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with [them], and confirming the Word. Not the word they preached, no, confirming the WORD!
‘Because you’re going to go in my Name, I’m going to confirm the Word … with signs following.’ Not the word they preached.
How many times do I go to the cripples before I preach? And I just say: ‘Lady, look at me. Just get up … walk! Two people, just help her out of the wheelchair…’
On Wednesday there was a lady from Ethiopia. They said before the service that her pain was excruciating, that there was no way the women could sit. I said: ‘Let her sit through the meeting.’ I know
what pain is through a meeting. ‘God is going to heal her.’ But I wanted her to just sit there. At the end of the meeting I said: ‘Let’s go pick up the women.” She just got up and walked! She came here and I asked: ‘Where’s the pain?’ She said: ‘No pain!’ Her daughter came to me afterwards. She said: ‘Are you not going to pray for me too? I said: ‘You didn’t ask me to pray.’ She said: ‘My mother is perfect! She expected so much, that she would go out here … expecting that it’s going to take some time …”
You know… In the Name!! So what’s in the Name? God confirming the Word, which is the creative power of God in the beginning, with which He created all the unseen things that is now seen. We understand by faith that the worlds were created by the Word.
I hope that Mark 16 is going to mean more to you. Confirming the Word … NOT the word preached.
Miracles happen when we worship, miracles happen when we touch, miracles happen when we look on people. Peter said: ‘Look on us.’ But if I know I’m there in the Name….. Isn’t that what He said in Matt 18:20 (KJV) Where any two of you are gathered in my Name, there I will be.
Luke 5:16-17 (KJV) … and the power of the Lord was present to heal. Oh man! When the Word is there, the power is present to heal. So, when Jesus is in a meeting, the Power is there. If God is Word, it means: When a voice comes out, that is God operating at His best. And if we are then to be the children and the manifested people that will be the imitators of God (John 10:34) we are suppose to be the gods of the earth. Then it means we must put a voice to what is on the inside of us. I believe 1 Pet 1:23 that says we have been born again not by corruptible things such as silver or gold, but by the immortal seed of the Word of God. So the Word of God comes on the inside of us. If I have that immortal Word-seed in the inside of me, then it means God wants to put a voice to me, so when I voice out, I draw from that Word ALL of creation’s power.
2 Cor 4:13 (KJV) We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken… It starts of ‘we have the same spirit of faith …’
Johan sang that beautiful song: Where there is faith. Because we have that same spirit of faith, we speak. As it is written … we believe … therefore we speak.
Say it! Speak it!: ‘I got a voice that is suppose to utter the very Word of God.’
Let’s go to Rom 10. Old stuff, but I believe God is just putting a new breath of ‘believe’ in here. Hear it with a new heart. God said: ‘I’ll make all things new. May God help us with something new… something fresh.
Rom 10:6 (KJV) But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in your heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is to bring Christ down [from above]) He came 2000 years ago, so do not say who shall ascend to bring Christ down.
:7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is to bring up Christ from the dead)
:8 But what saith it? You’ve heard this a 100 000 times. Listen to this: The Word is near you! That is the Word of faith.
Quoted from Deut 30:10-14 already, where God said it to Moses: ‘I bring before you today blessing and cursing and life and death. Choose life that you may live.’ This word is not difficult, it’s so easy: it’s in
your heart and it’s in your mouth. Just SPEAK!!!
Col 3:16 (KJV) says: Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly.
Col 3:3 (KJV) says: Our life is hidden with Christ in God. If I can understand this whole thing, I don’t have to go anywhere. Just where I am, I can draw all of creation’s power that made galaxies upon galaxies, every bird, every animal, every tree, every grass root, everything that I can see creeping upon the face of the earth, every moon, every star, everything would just … ‘Let there be…!!!’ And God says:
‘I’m making you a partaker of the divine nature, I’m making you to be born again by my Word-seed. I’m placing you in a place of authority so that exactly where Christ was walking, you can now walk. So, when you SAY… you can have whatsoever you say!
For whosoever shall say unto this mountain and doubt not, shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you: ‘When you stand, praying: SAY!!! Don’t complain.’ ‘Oh, but look at my situation.’ No! Change the scenery by changing the sound!
The more you say what’s wrong, the more you see what’s wrong, because what you say is what you’re going to see. The more you say what’s wrong, the more you’re going to see the problem.
The more you say what’s right, the more you going to change the scenery.
Some stuff may take some time because it seems like some things are hard of hearing. But keep on keeping on. Run the race till the end. Don’t give up halfway. ‘Oh, but my finances!’ How long did you speak? Two months? What did you say the third month? ‘I don’t think it’s working!’ Now you got to start all over again. How can you be so ….
Take the Book and say: ‘I’m going to say what the Word says. I refuse to say what the situation says. I’m going to change the scenery by changing the sound. It’s in my mouth, it’s in my heart, to speak the Word! In Jesus Name.’
Take your Bible, kiss it and say: ‘Thank you Lord.’
Let’s go to 2 Cor 6 (KJV) I think that will be a good one.
Didn’t Jesus say unto the Jews that believed on His Word: ‘If you abide in my Word and my Word abides in you, you shall be my disciples indeed? And what did they do? They left Him because it was too hard.
Jesus said: ‘Take my Word. If the Son has set you free, you shall be free indeed, but you got to take my Word. Let my Word abide in you and you abide in my Word.’
Come on man, think a little. Say: ‘My goodness, it’s been in front of me all the time.’ Get some scriptures.
Plaster it on your fridge. Before you eat that chocolate cake, say: ‘My body is the temple of the Holy Ghost. I will not indulge in chocolate cake.’ Then you don’t have to get all those other stuff to slim again.
Get a picture of the car you want. Stick it on your mirror, man, and get a scripture that will fit there.
We put the pictures of the Passion (of Mel Gibson), and we love it. We put all pictures of Jesus on the cross and we carry crucifixes to remind us. Because Paul says: ‘I want to know nothing amongst you accept Christ Jesus and Him crucified.’ And when we see the Passion, our emotions get so caught up in the sufferings of Jesus … all the beatings. He’s lying there, beaten to a pulp and there’s blood all over.
Mary comes and sweeps the blood off and our hearts cry. People scream when we showed the movie: ‘Stop! Stop! Stop!’
Have you ever thought of what He must have gone through in His spirit and in His emotions? We see the Body, torn to pieces and say: ‘This is My body broken for you.’ But do we ever think of Isaiah 53 that talks about the spiritual anguish, the soulish anguish? And have we ever thought that He took on Himself ALL the sin of the world?
That is what crushed Him, not the beatings of Pilate. And because of that scripture He says: 2 Cor 5:17- 21 (KJV) If any man be in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. All things have become new.
:21 For God made Him who knew no sin ( not the body but the spiritual man ) to be made sin for us, so that we could be made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. The very righteousness of a pure and a Holy God. He made Jesus Christ the Word that became flesh. He made Him to take the sins of the world and He became sin. Now, I am righteous! Not just righteous. The very righteousness of God.
And the righteousness which is of faith speaks, because God in His holiness said: ‘Let there be … and there was.’ And He said and it was … and He said and it was … and He said and it was … If you want to change the scenery, you got to change the sound.
So, with that in mind, let’s read 2 Cor 6 :1 (KJV) We then, [as] workers together [with him], beseech [you] also that you receive not the grace of God in vain. Here it comes. Let the scripture jump out.
:2 For he saith… Now you must understand the Word, the Name, the revelation of Jesus Christ… I have heard thee. He says: If you have a voice, then the saying and the Saying can be heard together, because we are co-workers.
God said to the apostle Paul we are co-workers together with God. So He saith to the co-workers:
‘I have heard.’ God is saying: If you’re saying, we can join the two sayings together, and if it is the same saying … there’s going to be a hearing! Because we are co-workers, and I am the Word, so I work by saying.
:2 …I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succored thee:
behold, now [is] the accepted time; behold, now [is] the day of salvation. Don’t postpone!
Open your mouth. God wants to hear!! You say the Word back to Him – agreement with God — coworkers — BAM! — Creation Power in your situation — BAM! — LIFE!!!!!!
:7 By the Word of truth, by the power of God, by the amour of righteousness on my right hand and on my left. Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ on my right, Christ on my left, Christ above me, Christ beneath me. Christ when I rise up, Christ when I sit down, Christ when I lie down, Christ when I speak, Christ all around me, Christ in me … the Hope of Glory. Wow! Thank you, Jesus.
Sound before sight. Listen to this scripture. It’s quoted so many times and I heard so many people quote it wrong. 2 Pet 1:21 (KJV) Holy men of old… So many times it is quoted as: Holy men of old wrote, moved upon by the Holy Spirit. It’s not true, it’s not there. It says: Holy men of old spoke, moved upon by the Holy Spirit. If you go through this Bible, every single prophet had a scribe. And when they were moved upon by the Holy Spirit, they said: ‘Sit down, let me speak.’ Because God spoke before there was change. Holy men of old spoke, and then they wrote. That’s why, when Satan came and tempted Jesus, Jesus said: ‘It is written….’ knowing that before it was written it was spoken. Because man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes out of the mouth of God – not out of the hand of God. That was the first temptation in the wilderness. Man shall not live by bread … but by every word that comes out of God’s mouth. Not out of a pen.
So God speaks before somebody writes. That’s why you got to hear and then you got to speak. Change the scenery by changing your sound. Stop being negative and ugly. Say good stuff to people all around you.
God’s things come in a can. Not in a can-not! Isaiah 59 Joshua and Caleb stood up after the ten spies said: ‘We cannot take the land.’ Caleb said: ‘We can! If God says we can, then we can.’ So we got to say what the Book says. That was what Joshua said: ‘God says we can, so I say we can.’ Simple as that –monkeys see, monkeys do.
God says … I say! “Oh, they say things that God says and they think they’re gods.” ‘Yes.’ So, Jesus said.
Isaiah 59 : 16 (Amp) This is God speaking. And He saw that there was no man and wondered that there was no intercessor [no on to intervene on behalf of truth and right]; therefore His own arm brought Him victory and His own righteousness [having the Spirit without measure} sustained Him.
John 3:34 ‘The Spirit without measure…’ Remember?
Isaiah 59 : 17 For [the Lord] put on righteousness as a breastplate or coat of mail, and salvation as a helmet upon His head. He put on garments of vengeance for clothing and was clad with zeal [and furious divine jealousy] as a cloak.
:18 According as their deeds deserve, so will He repay wrath to His adversaries, recompense to His enemies; (God is speaking to you about stuff that is going to happen around you and what you’re going to get out of it) on the foreign islands and coastlands He will make compensation.
:19 So [as the result of the Messiah’s intervention] they shall [reverently] fear the Name (You can put in: Word / Jesus) of the Lord from the west, and His glory from the rising sun.
Isaiah 58 : 8-11 says the righteousness will go before you and glory will be your rearguard, You cannot but make It! “But Kobus, look at you and all your struggles.” You cannot but make it! If we look and
concentrate and talk trouble, that’s where we’re going to sit. We got to talk ourselves out of it by the Word of God. And God will not fail.
‘As you see the Egyptians today, you will never see them again. But you got to take the rod, Moses. Divide the waters, let’s go through!’
Isaiah 59 : 19 (Amp) …when the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him and put him to flight for He will come like a rushing stream which the breath of the Lord drives.
And in Him was light, and the life was the light…life of men. Here comes Christ and wherever He goes, it is the breath of God like a mighty stream … pushing away all enemy lines. “Ah? Where’s the thing that attacked me last night?” The breath of God …
Because of the righteousness amour on the left and the right, because of the truth that’s in my mouth,
because I’m a co-worker , at the accepted time, which is now, He hears me when I hear Him and I combine the two voices and I say: ‘Let it be heard in the creation. In the Name of Jesus, I command all sickness, go!’ In I call creation’s power. In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I command every sickness, every cancer, every disease, every infirmity, every HIV-virus, every crippling spirit, every demon of sickness and weakness! I say : GO!!! Get out!! In the Name of the Word of God, which is: Jesus of Nazareth.
Isaiah 54:1 (KJV) Sing, o barren, thou [that] didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry
aloud. God says: ‘I want to hear your voice.’
:2 Enlarge the place of your tent… Think big, man! “I don’t know if I will be able to do that.” Well,
don’t man. …Stretch forth thou curtains.
:3 For you shall break forth on the right hand and on the left; and your seed shall inherit the
:13 And all thy children [shall be] taught of the Lord and great shall be the peace of thy
:14 In righteousness shall you be established…
I like it! I preached a sermon while we were still in the old church… It was never like that, but about fifteen years ago, all of a sudden somebody got the idea that he’s going to put on a T-shirt the saying:
Established since 1978. And all of a sudden all of the clothing-companies did it. God says: ‘In righteousness you shall be established.’
:14 …you shall be far from oppression; for thou shall not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near you.
:15 Behold, they shall surely gather together, [but] not by me: whosoever shall gather together against you shall fall for your sake.
:16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.
:17 No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper…
No cancer, no disease, no sugardiabetes, no hart-conditions, no blood-pressure failures, no financial collapse, no bankruptcy, no lack, no shortage, no hurt, no pain, no stress, no anxiety, no cares, no fear. No weapon formed against you shall prosper!!
I say: ‘Amen Lord! This is Your Word. I lift it up before You today. God! Your Word!’
:17 …and every tongue [that] shall rise against thee in judgement, you shall condemn. I condemn all those tongues on you. … saith the Lord.
Luke 7 and Matt 8 (KJV) When the centurion came to Jesus, he said: ‘My servant lay sick at home.’
Jesus said: ‘Oh. Well, let’s go.’ But the centurion said: ‘Ah-ah … no-no-no …Speak the Word only.’
It takes me back to our starting scripture, the revelation of Jesus Christ. I John, bear record of the Word of God … the revelation. So, here comes Jesus and there stands the centurion. Pointing to Jesus, he said: ‘This is the Word. (the flesh). Here comes the Word. The Word is what said: ‘Let there be light.’ This is He that said: ‘Let there be a firmament, let there be planets, let there be stars and moons, let there be galaxies, let there be grass and let there be trees … This is He, so He doesn’t have to come.
If this is the Word that is now in flesh, that created everything, that is coming towards me, then He can just speak the Word. I can ask the Word to just release a Word, and I’ll have all Creation in my situation.’
Jesus said: ‘So great faith …’ Why did He say: ‘So great faith have I not seen?’ Why? Because the righteousness which is your faith, just speaks. Jesus said: ‘If you can get the Word to say the Word, that is what the Word is for.
If I have the Word and He’s near me, in my heart and in my mouth to speak it, why don’t I just speak it?
Say it again and again and again: ‘I will speak the Word and the Word only.’
Some stuff take longer than others. I don’t know why. Everybody didn’t get everything the same time.
The people who are rich now, were not rich always. The people who are healthy now, were not healthy always. People go through situations and speak the Word only, but sometimes it takes longer. I don’t know why. But it will come through if you just keep on speaking the Word.
God says: ‘Your health shall break forth speedily and your light shall come suddenly. Hey! Suddenly there’s going to be a breakthrough. It may take some time, but there’s going to be a time when … bam!
… the accepted time … bam! …
Let’s change it and say: ‘Lord, let it be NOW!!! You are the “I AM”. Let it change now!’
Rev 1 : 1-2 Let’s close with v 3. Remember the Word was spoken first. Now read this and get the revelation.
…he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy and keep those things which are written therein …
Blessed is he that reads, blessed is he that hears, blessed is he that keeps which is written. So, it was spoken, now it is written, now I can read and I can all over hear it again.
That brings all the power back, just in its original form, without being diluted, without being corrupted.
Just … phew … POWER!
I hope that while you read this, God is in your house and that you’re also receiving what is happening here at Spirit Word Ministries. May the love of God just bless you.
