We all want God’s power. The power is also the Glory of God.

2 Corinthians 3:16-18 (Amplified) But whenever a person turns [in REPENTANCE] to the Lord, the veil is stripped off and taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is LIBERTY (emancipation from bondage, freedom). [Isaiah 61:1,2]. And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to BEHOLD [in the Word of God] as in a mirror THE GLORY OF THE LORD, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit.

To turn in repentance means to turn around. Repentance means to change your mind. You turn around and walk another way in your mind. When you think differently, you’ll walk differently(Isaiah 55:7-11). When you turn from the legalistic ways that Israel walked in for years according to the Law, you are changed from glory to glory. There is a veil when you are under the Law and it kept you from seeing the things of God. The Lord’s Spirit does not bring bondage, but when He leads you, you have a freedom. You do not feel you cannot do this or do that, but there is a freedom to do what the Spirit leads you to do and you come closer to the presence of God. When the veil is stripped away, we can see the glory. The Spirit takes us to the glory and as we behold it, we are changed into the image of Jesus Christ.

Romans 8:21 says that the whole creation is waiting to be set free from bondage by the liberty of the sons of God. Sons are people who come into the image of Christ.

2 Corinthians 4:1 (Amplified) THEREFORE, SINCE we do hold and engage in this ministry by the mercy of God [granting us favor, benefits, opportunities, and especially salvation], we do not get discouraged (spiritless and despondent with fear) or become faint with weariness and exhaustion.

There is a promise that we will be changed into the very image of Christ, but in the meantime we must not get discourage. People usually become discouraged when they get obstacles in their way.

2 Corinthians 4:2 (Amplified) We have RENOUNCED disgraceful ways (secret thoughts, feelings, desires and underhandedness, the methods and arts that men hide through shame); we refuse to deal craftily (to practice trickery and cunning) or to adulterate or handle dishonestly the Word of God, but we state the truth openly (clearly and candidly). And so we commend ourselves in the sight and presence of God to every man’s conscience.

The reason not to get discouraged is because we’ve renounced disgraceful ways. We have repented from evil things and while we are on the way to glory, we must understand that the veil is stripped away by repenting from sins and that gives us liberty. The liberty leads us to the image of Christ; evil things discourage us.

We renounced the evil thoughts that came to our minds that did not bring glory to God. 2 Corinthians 10:5 says that we take the thoughts captive and make it obedient to Christ.

2 Corinthians 4:5,6 (Amplified) For what we preach is not ourselves but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves [merely] as your servants (slaves) for Jesus’ sake. For God Who said, Let LIGHT shine out of darkness, has SHONE IN OUR HEARTS so as [to BEAM FORTH the LIGHT for the illumination of the knowledge of the majesty and glory of God [as it is manifest in the Person and is revealed] in the face of Jesus Christ (the Messiah).

In the beginning God said, “Let there be light.” He also shone that light now in our hearts. Our responsibility is to let our lights shine in the world. Matthew 5:14-16 says that we are the light of the world and a city that is set on a hill. We must let our lights so shine that they will see our good works. One does not light a candle and put it under a bushel, but put it on a lamp stand so that everyone who come into the house see our lights. John 1:9 says that the true Light Who enlighten the world came into the world to enlighten us. We must beam forth the light of God though the power and the glory of God in our lives. The light He shone into our hearts is the light of the glory of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We must shine to bring an illumination or light on a subject. When light shines on a subject, you can see and understand it. The subject is the knowledge of the glory of God. The illumination is to bring the knowledge of the glory. You cannot have the glory if you do not have the knowledge of it. If you want to fly an airplane, you must have the knowledge how to fly. You cannot work a computer without the knowledge of it. We all want the glory, but the illumination must first shine on the knowledge of the glory.

Habakkuk 2:14 (KJV) For the earth shall be filled with the KNOWLEDGE OF THE GLORY of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

Before you can get the glory, you first need the knowledge. Hosea 4:6 says that My people perish for a lack of knowledge and not for a lack of glory. 2 Peter 1:5 says that you must add to your faith virtue and to virtue knowledge. The knowledge is found in the face of Jesus Christ. When you repent from evil and the Law, you have liberty and the Spirit leads you. That liberty is used to shine forth the illuminating light of the gospel, because the liberty causes you to see. You do not get discourage because you’ve left evil and your face is facing Christ.

You get discouraged when you miss it. Sin means to miss the mark. It feels terrible but you can keep on looking to the evil or turn to God and see Jesus (Hebrews 12:1-3). He is the author and finisher of our faith and looking to Him helps us to run the race and keep on running. When you allow the evil that happened to discourage you, you loose track of the face of Jesus Christ and you do not get the knowledge of the glory.

Things try to get to you. The devil is roaming around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). In the face of Jesus Christ, we get the knowledge, but only because we renounced the evil and the thoughts of evil. It is the thoughts of the evil that discourages us. You keep on thinking about how you’ve missed it, but when you lay aside the sin and the weights that so easily tries to entangle you and look to Jesus forcefully, you get more knowledge of the glory. The more knowledge you get, the more illumination you get on the subject.

2 Corinthians 4:7 (Amplified) However, we possess this PRECIOUS TREASURE [the divine Light of the Gospel] in [frail, human] vessels of earth, that the grandeur and exceeding greatness of the power may be shown to be from God and not from ourselves.

We have the treasure of the illumination or ability to see what the subject says. We do not have to get it, we already have it! We have to use what we already have. The purpose of this treasure is to let the Excellency of the Power of God be seen through us. People will see that it is God and not you.

2 Corinthians 4:8 (Amplified) We are hedged in (pressed) on every side [troubled and oppressed in every way], but not cramped or crushed; we suffer embarrassments and are perplexed and unable to find a way out, but NOT DRIVEN TO DESPAIR…

Paul is talking too real people, who can honestly say that they are going through things, yet do not become discouraged.

2 Corinthians 4:16 (Amplified) Therefore WE DO NOT BECOME DICOURAGED (utterly spiritless, exhausted, and wearied out through fear). Though our outer man is [progressively] decaying and wasting away, yet our INNER SELF is being [progressively] RENEWED day after day.

Our inner self is the treasure of the illumination of the knowledge of the glory on inside us. That is renewed day by day because you keep on looking away from the evil, turning your mind from the evil, the sin and weights and forcefully looking to Jesus. All who call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved. When you call upon his Name, He is ready to save you. When you missed it, God is waiting for you to turn in repentance by changing your mind, by renouncing the evil that has a discouraging effect, towards Him. You ask forgiveness and renounce the sin. When you feel the heat of the battle on the outside, your inner man is renewed.

2 Corinthians 4:17 (Amplified) For our light, MOMENTARY affliction (this slight distress of the passing hour) is ever more and more abundantly preparing and producing and ACHIEVING FOR US AN EVERLASTING WEIGHT OF GLORY [beyond all measure, excessively surpassing all comparisons and all calculations, a vast and transcendent glory and blessedness never to cease!]…

The affliction is not supposed to be continuous. The trouble and the persecution will not go on forever – God will not allow it to continue. It is only you that keep it alive if you do not turn and repent. You must change your mind and repent or else the problem will keep on going on. If you turn your mind and renounce the evil, it flies away and the inner man is renewed.

You get the price of an everlasting weight of glory when you look to Jesus and away from the sin and weights that want to get discourage you. The affliction is momentary, but the glory is everlasting. The affliction comes to see how you are going to handle it. How you handle it, makes it momentarily or enduring. You handle it correctly by repenting, renouncing the sin and looking to Jesus. When you look to Him, your inner man, who is illuminated, will bring an eternal weight of glory.

You use the illumination on the knowledge and that brings the weight of glory. You prepare for glory when you realize that you were enlightened and you have the treasure. You must now put your light on a lamb stand and not under a bushel. Revelation 2:5 says that God will take your lamp stands from its place if you do not repent. God will not let you shine if you do not want to shine. If you do not want to shine, God says that He will remove the lamp stand from its place. When you repent, you do not only have the knowledge, but you’ll start feeling the Glory. You’ll experience the Glory and around you the power will be evident and they’ll realize that it can only be God.

2 Corinthians 4:18 (Amplified) Since we consider and look not to the THINGS THAT ARE SEEN but to the THINGS THAT ARE UNSEEN; for the things that are visible are TEMPORAL (brief and fleeting), but the things that are invisible are deathless and EVERLASTING.

The things that are seen are the sins and the weights that want to mess up your life and discourage you. When we look to the things that are unseen, we look to the One, Who is unseen. He is the invisible, immortal, eternal and the Only Wise God (1 Timothy 1:17). Although you cannot see Him, you see Him by faith and you trust Him by faith. You do not trust Him by what you feel, but by what you know through faith. When you sin, you see the results and you feel that you’ve missed it. It literally glows in the dark. Then you’ve got to repent and tell God that you were wrong. You renounce the sin and command it to leave you alone. When you look into the face of Jesus, you get knowledge of the glory and then you are not discouraged any more. Your inner man is renewed and you start to experience the glory. You will not only see the knowledge of the glory, but you’ll start experiencing it. It is then that the power starts to flow from you and you see miracles. Romans 5 says that we’ve got the hope and the trails that come our way will disappear while we look at Him and He will save us daily. His love was shed abroad in our hearts.

1 Peter 1:1-2 (Amplified) PETER, AN apostle (a special messenger) of Jesus Christ, [writing] to the elect exiles of the dispersion scattered (sowed) abroad in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, Who were chosen and foreknown by God the Father and consecrated (sanctified, made holy) by the Spirit to be obedient to Jesus Christ (the Messiah) and to be sprinkled with [His] blood. May GRACE (spiritual blessing) and PEACE be given you in increasing abundance [that spiritual peace to be realized in and through Christ, freedom from fears, agitating passions, and moral conflicts].

God is a God of grace and when we come to Him, we come before His throne of Grace and Mercy. Christians talk too much about a judgement throne, which is for wicked people and not for them who love the LORD. Hebrews 4:16 says that we must boldly come to the throne of grace that we might find mercy to find help in a time of need. Under the Law it was also called a Mercy Seat.

1 Peter 1:3-4 (Amplified) Praised (honored, blessed) be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah)! By His boundless mercy we have been born again to an ever-living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, [Born anew] into an INHERITANCE which is beyond the reach of change and decay [imperishable], unsullied and unfading, reserved in heaven for you…

Someone died for us to leave us an inheritance and that One is Jesus. We must now get to the place where we can get the inheritance. The place is the Mercy Seat or the throne of grace where we can now come boldly to get help in time of need. There is a Righteous Judge Who freely gives us what we need.

1 Peter 1:5 (Amplified) Who are being guarded (garrisoned) by God’s power through [your] FAITH [till you fully inherit that final] salvation that is READY TO BE REVEALED [for you] in the last time.

The church is so distressed about the last times, because they only see and prophesy doom and gloom. They talk about beasts and anti-Christ, rather than to see the knowledge of the glory of God that is filling the earth. There is an inheritance that God saved for us in the heavenly realm and it is kept for us by His Power. The power is in us and it is from Him and not from us.

1 Peter 1:6 (Amplified) [You should] be exceedingly glad on this account, though now for a little while you may be distressed by trials and suffer temptations…

The grace and the peace are multiplied because the trial and temptations are manifold.

1 Peter 1:7 (Amplified) So that [the genuineness] of your FAITH MAY BE TESTED, [your faith] which is infinitely MORE PRECIOUS THAN THE PERISHABLE GOLD which is tested and purified by fire. [This proving of your faith is intended] to redound to [your] praise and glory and honor when Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) is revealed.

Faith must be tested so that it can bring the inheritance in the last days. People do not run with the faith, because the trials bring discouragement. People see it rather than looking at God. Gold is tried with fire and the dirt goes out. When your faith is tested, it becomes more pure than gold. Christ wants to appear, but before that the faith must be tried. It is tried when evil comes. When it comes, you can be discouraged or rather repent and renounce the evil and look to Jesus. You will experience a weight of glory by looking in His Face. Your inner man is strengthened and your faith becomes more precious than gold.

1 Peter 1:8 (Amplified) Without having seen Him, you love Him; though you do not [even] now see Him, you BELIEVE IN HIM and exult and thrill with inexpressible and glorious (triumphant, heavenly) JOY.

When you handle the trying of your faith and the temptations correctly, you will be filled with joy unspeakable. You must look to Him, even though you did not see Him, you believe.

1 Peter 1:9 (Amplified) [At the same time] you receive the result (outcome, consummation) of your faith, the SALVATION OF YOUR SOULS.

The salvation of your soul is your mind that is renewed and liberated. The Spirit brings the freedom when you repent, which means that you’ve changed your mind. If you get that liberty, the Spirit takes you from glory to glory. You do not become discouraged when you walk in the liberty of the Spirit, because your mind is set free and saved. Your spirit is born again, but your soul gets saved daily.

Many Christians are born again in their spirits, but never experience getting the inheritance, because they are not renewed in their minds – their souls are not saved. The trying of your faith brings the joy. We all go through the same things. No one is better than the other!

1 Peter 1:10-11 (Amplified) The prophets, who prophesied of THE GRACE (divine blessing) which was INTENDED FOR YOU, searched and inquired earnestly about this salvation. They sought [to find out] TO WHOM OR WHEN this was to come which the Spirit of Christ working within them was indicating when He predicted the SUFFERINGS OF CHRIST and the glories that should follow [them].

The prophets prophesied about the things that the people would get whose minds are saved. There is a generation that will find these things. It is the generation that knows it is better to talk about the knowledge of the glory rather than the evil, the trials and temptations. The knowledge of the glory will bring the release of the power because their inner man is renewed and people will see the excellency of God’s glory. Keep your confession according to God’s promise and not according to the situation that you are facing. Take your faith and use it to repent and renounce sin and look at Jesus, Who will perfect your faith. When your mind is renewed, you will start talking about the knowledge of the glory and the power will be released and people will experience it in your life and glorify God.

The generation that they were searching for was those that realized that Christ has suffered and they can have the power and the glory. The last times began when Jesus died and was raised from the dead. We’ve already got the treasure. The only thing that’s got to follow is the glory. It is not the treasure that will be revealed, but the glory. The people that reveal the glory look away from the evil and renounce it and get their minds right.

Isaiah 55:1-3 (KJV) Ho, every one that thirsts, come you to the waters, and he that hath no money; come you, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Wherefore do you spend money for that which is not bread? And your labor for that which satisfies not? Hearken diligently unto Me, and eat you that which is good, and let your SOUL DELIGHT ITSELF IN FATNESS. Incline your ear, and come unto Me: hear, and your SOUL SHALL LIVE. And I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

You spend money for things that cannot satisfy, rather listen to God and eat from Him and then your soul or your mind will be anointed. The anointing breaks the yokes (Isaiah 10:27). We are heading towards the salvation of our souls or our minds. If your mind is not living in salvation, you are depressed and disappointed. You cannot see and you speak about the evil and see the wrong. You repent and you see the glory or you stay unsaved in your mind and see only the evil. There is not such a thing as a pessimist or an optimist. You are either a repentant or un-repentant person. When you turn and repent, you see the glory.

Isaiah 55:7 (KJV) Let the wicked forsake his WAY, and the unrighteous man his THOUGHTS: and let him RETURN unto the LORD, and He will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.

You can have the real things without money. You only have to repent and ask forgiveness and when you look again to Jesus, there is illumination and the glory comes back.

Revelation 3:16 (Amplified) So, because you are LUKEWARM and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of My mouth!

A lukewarm person has both sides. He runs for the glory, but he does not want to renounce sin. Don’t talk about the things that went wrong. It does not bring you glory and definitely not to God either. You do not feel good and it messes up the atmosphere around you. It does not glorify the other person’s reputation and you have to go and repent and pray. God wants to vomit you out because you run the race, but do not want to leave the evil stuff. You must realize that you are saved and set free. You do not have to live in a discouraged mode.

Revelation 3:17 (Amplified) For you say, I am rich; I have prospered and grown wealthy, and I am in need of nothing; and you do not REALIZE and understand that YOU ARE WRETCHED, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked.

The people that think they have it all are the miserable people. Those who fight the evil and repent have the glory. Smith Wiggleworth said that he knew the power of repentance. It is repentance that changes things. Renounce the evil thing. Don’t just leave the thing and think that it will go away. You must get hot and repent and change your mind. As soon as something goes wrong, repent. Don’t think that you’ve made it.

Revelation 3:18 (Amplified) Therefore I counsel you to PURCHASE from Me GOLD REFINED AND TESTED BY THE FIRE, that you may be [truly] wealthy, and white clothes to clothe you and to keep the shame of your nudity from being seen, and salve to put on your eyes, that you may see.

Peter said that your faith is gold that is tried in the fire. You are now admonished to buy gold that is tried in the fire. Repent and turn from the evil. That is the way you buy gold. You overcome by doing that. You overcome the negative attitude by repenting and renouncing the sin and the evil. You must look to Jesus Who suffered and paid the price for you. When you overcome, you will be ruling.
