John 10:10 says that the thief comes only to kill, to steal and to destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. Isaiah 52 & 53 prophesied about Jesus’ crucifixion. Isaiah 53:1 asked the question, who believed the report that He was bruised for our iniquities, wounded for our transgression, the chastisement of our peace was upon Him and with His stripes we are healed. After that he said that Jesus would divide the spoil with the strong man, which refers to Colossians 2:15 that states that Jesus spoiled principalities and powers and now we walk away with what He paid the price for. Isaiah 54 tells about the abundant life and increase.

Isaiah 54:14 (Amplified) YOU shall establish YOURSELF in RIGHTEOUSNESS…

Being established means that you make yourself stand firm in a certain thing where you will not be moved from it again. Everyone must establish himself in righteousness. It is done by believing God. Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness. If you believe the report of Isaiah 53, then you establish yourself in righteousness. If you live in righteousness, your prayers avail much and are answered – the righteous shall live by faith. We have to believe the report that Jesus came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. The thief came to destroy, but Jesus came to give us abundance. We need to make the choice what we want to have. Believing is to walk by faith and that establishes you in righteousness. That means that you will have an open heaven. An open heaven means that God answers you, walks with you and you always have the favor and the blessing of God upon your life.

Isaiah 54:14 (Amplified) You shall establish yourself in righteousness (rightness, in conformity with God’s will and order). You shall be FAR FROM even the THOUGHT OF oppression or DESTRUCTION, for you shall not fear, and far from terror, for it shall not come near you.

The thought of the devil that comes to steal, to kill and to destroy shall not even come near you. You are not supposed to, as a Christian, talk about how things are stolen from you or destroyed in your life, because you are established in righteousness and not even the thought of destruction shall be near you. 2004 is the year of increase, abundance and more and that is our portion.

Isaiah 54:15 (Amplified) Behold, they may gather together and stir up strife, but it is not from Me. Whoever stirs up strife against you shall fall and surrender to you. Behold, I HAVE CREATED THE SMITH who blows on the fire of coals and who produces a weapon for its purpose; and I HAVE CREATED THE DEVASTATOR to destroy.

Isaiah 54:17 (Amplified) BUT NO WEAPON that is formed against you SHALL PROSPER…

God created the devil. He was not there from the beginning and he did not just exist. He is not eternal. God made him for the purpose of destruction. Why did God do that?

John 10:10 says that thief comes to steal, kill and to destroy, but Jesus came to give us life. It is not just life, but abundant life.

2 Corinthians 5:21 (Amplified) For our sake He made Christ [virtually] to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in and through Him WE MIGHT BECOME [endued with, viewed as being in, and examples of] THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD [what we ought to be, approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by His goodness].

Jesus became sin on the cross and now we can become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. You have to believe the report and establish yourself in that righteousness. Then the thought of destruction shall not even come near you. God says that even if He made the destroyer and his weapons, they shall not prosper if they are formed against you! Why is there still destruction in the lives of Christians who are dedicated and devoted to God?

Luke 4:31-32 (Amplified) And He descended to Capernaum, a town of Galilee, and there He continued to teach the people on the Sabbath days. And they were AMAZED at His teaching, for HIS WORD was WITH AUTHORITY and ABILITY and WEIGHT and POWER.

When Jesus came out of the desert after a forty day fast, people were amazed at the powerful words He spoke. There must be authority in your speech when you go to somebody and call him out of a wheelchair. Even the winds and the seas obeyed Jesus’ Word. Demons were cast out on account of His Word. According to Acts 10:38 Jesus went about, doing good and healed all that were oppressed by the devil. When Jesus healed the people from their infirmities, He cast out the devils. Jesus freed the people from the devils that tried to destroy them.

Luke 4:33-34a (Amplified) Now in the synagogue there was a man who was POSSESSED by the foul spirit of A DEMON; and he cried out with a loud (deep, terrible) cry, Ah, let us alone! What have You to do with us [What have we in common], Jesus of Nazareth? Have YOU COME TO DESTROY US?…

The thief comes to destroy (John 10:10, Isaiah 54:16), but the devils came and when they met the Son of the Living God, they cried out and asked if He came to destroy them.

Luke 4:34(b)-36 (Amplified) …I know Who You are-the Holy One of God! But Jesus rebuked him, saying, Be silent (muzzled, gagged), and come out of him! And when the demon had thrown the man down in their midst, he came out of him WITHOUT INJURING HIM in any possible way. And they were all amazed and said to one another, What kind of TALK is this? For with AUTHORITY AND POWER He commands the foul spirits and they come out!

Luke 4:36-37 (KJV) And they were all amazed, and spoke among themselves, saying, What a WORD is this! For with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out. And the FAME of Him went out into every place of the country round about.

Fame was spreading about Jesus’ Word that was with so much authority that even the devils went out. The devils did not even hurt the man when they came out and they are the ones who came to destroy, possessing the weapons of destruction. No weapon can bring destruction when we come on Jesus’ side where He is to give life and life more abundantly. When we take the Word and believe the report and establish ourselves in righteousness, there will not even be a thought of destruction in our lives.

1 John 3:8(b) (Amplified) The reason the Son of God was made manifest (visible) was to undo (DESTROY, loosen, and dissolve) THE WORKS THE DEVIL [HAS DONE].

The devil came to kill, steal and to destroy, but Jesus came to give us life abundantly. There is a report that Jesus died to make us righteous. If we believe, we become righteous and then even the thought of destruction will not come near us. When Jesus came to the earth, the people were amazed at His Words, because the devils that were supposed to destroy asked Him if He has come to destroy them. Jesus said that it is what He came to do – to destroy the works of the devil. Instead of them destroying the people, Jesus came to destroy them. They are created beings that were created to destroy, but now the Creator came to destroy them.

Luke 6:6 (Amplified) And it occurred on another Sabbath that when He went into the synagogue and taught, a man was present whose RIGHT HAND WAS WITHERED.

The devil made the man’s hand like that. It was not the work of God. Every good and perfect gift comes from God (James 1:17) and He does not give bad gifts. The devil had a weapon with which he came to destroy. There will be a time where we come to a place where a thought of destruction will not even come near us. We must come in agreement with the Word of God and then we will see the Word operate in our lives.

Luke 6:7-9 (Amplified) And the scribes and the Pharisees kept watching Jesus to see whether HE WOULD [actually] HEAL on the SABBATH, in order that they might get [some ground for] ACCUSATION against Him. But He was aware all along of their thoughts, and He said to the man with the withered hand, Come and stand here in the midst. And he arose and stood there. Then Jesus said to them, I ask you, is it lawful and right on the Sabbath to DO GOOD [so that someone derives advantage from it] or to DO EVIL, to SAVE a life [and make a soul safe] or to DESTROY it?

Jesus stood up in the midst of the people in the synagogue and let the man with the withered hand stood beside Him. He then asked the people whether it is right on the Sabbath to do well or to do evil, to save or to destroy. Jesus referred to the withered hand. He is the Almighty Son of God, Who came to earth to give life and here in the synagogue were people who wanted to bring accusation against Him for healing the sick.

Luke 6:10(a) (Amplified) Then He GLANCED around at them all and said to the man…

Jesus looked to the people in fury, because they wanted to accuse Him for healing the sick. Jesus asked them whether He should destroy or bring life.

Luke 6:10(b)-11(a) (Amplified) Stretch out your hand! And he did so, and his hand was fully restored like the other one. But they were filled with LACK OF UNDERSTANDING…

Hosea 4:6 says that the people are destroyed (perish) for a lack of knowledge. They didn’t have knowledge and they perish and are destroyed because of the lack thereof. They rejected the truth and therefore God rejected them as priests. John 8:38 say that you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. If the Son has set you free you shall be free indeed.

Job 5:19-22(a) (Amplified) He will rescue you in six troubles; in seven nothing that is evil [for you] will touch you. In famine He will redeem you from death, and in war from the power of the sword. You shall be hidden from the scourge of the tongue, neither shall you be afraid of destruction when it comes. At destruction and famine you shall LAUGH…

You must pause and think about it. When destruction and famine comes, what do you do? Do you complain grumble and talk to all about it or are you laughing about it? If you believe the report and are established in righteousness, the thought of destruction will not even arise. You will laugh at destruction because the thought did not even arise. The report says that the thief came to destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. The church must make a quality decision to stand up and believe God, Who said that He came for LIFE and no weapon formed against us shall ever prosper.

Job 5:22(b)-24 (Amplified) …neither shall you be afraid of the living creatures of the earth. For you shall be in league with the stones of the field and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with you. And you shall know that your TENT SHALL BE IN PEACE and you shall visit your fold and your dwelling and miss nothing [from them].

Psalm 91 says that no evil shall come near your tent. You shall go out and miss nothing. God’s Word is true and we must believe it. People will rather believe fairy tales than the Bible, but we must come to the place of receiving the Word, accepting it and believe it. It is not far fetched.

Job 5:27 (Amplified) This is what we have searched out; IT IS TRUE. HEAR AND HEED IT AND KNOW IT FOR YOURSELF [for your good].

Proverbs 13:13

says that he who despises the Word will bring destruction upon himself. The three prophets that sat with Job said that it was his own tongue that brought him there. It was not God. In Job 42 he withdrew every word that he said, he repented and then he was restored. They told Job that destruction will not come near him and even if he should see it, he would laugh at it. They searched it out, but you’ve got to KNOW it, because the people perish because of a lack of knowledge. They told Job that he must know the truth and that truth shall set him free. Job had to make it his own and know it for himself although the three prophets had searched it out. In Job 8 he said that He would fill his mouth with laughter when the situation changes, his enemies will be filled with shame and their place will be found no more. The Creator, Who created the destroyer, will destroy him.

Psalm 17:4 (Amplified) Concerning the works of men, by the WORD of Your lips I have AVOIDED THE WAYS of the VIOLENT (the PATHS of the DESTROYER).

When you take His Word, you will avoid the ways of the destroyer. Proverbs 3:6 says that when you acknowledge Him in all your ways, He will direct your paths. Do you acknowledge Him in all your ways and do what His Word says? Choose whom you wants to serve and do not halt between two opinions and have two ways.

Psalm 17:5 (Amplified) My steps have HELD CLOSELY TO YOUR PATHS [to the tracks of the One Who has gone on before]; my feet have not slipped.

The LORD is our Shepherd and He will lead us. We shall not be in want. He takes us to green pastures and to waters of refreshing. He restores our souls and anoints our heads with fresh oil. Our cups will be running over. His rod and His staff are our comfort and He sets a table before us in the midst of our enemies. Surely goodness and mercy will follow us all the days of our lives. We will dwell in His house forever under the shadow in the secret place of the Most High. There we shall not be hurt or harmed and not even the thought of destruction will come near us. If we see destruction, we will laugh, because we will know that it will not come near us. No weapon formed against us shall prosper, because we have established ourselves in righteousness. We believe the Word that says that God is with us and therefore nothing can be against us.

Exodus 12:23 says that the families of Israel had to take a pass over lamb and after sacrificing the lamb, they had to put blood on the doorposts and the lintels. When the evening came, the destroyer came to bring destruction, but when he saw the blood, he passed over that house and he could not enter. The destroyer cannot touch you when he sees the blood. Don’t be scared of applying the blood. Apply the blood over your possessions and over your family. Wherever you go and whatever you do, apply the blood over it. Plead the blood over your decisions. When you plead the blood, the destroyer will not come near you, because there is power in the blood.

Gwen Shaw tells the story of the blood where they came in contact with a lot of demon possessed people. They pleaded the blood and the demon possessed people screamed that they are not afraid of the blood. They were astonished because they were taught about the power of the blood. Then one of the demon-possessed grumbled that he is not scared of the blood of goats and bulls. She then took boldness and began to plead the blood of Jesus Christ and all of them fled.

The Pentecostal people were filled with the Holy Spirit by pleading the blood. Andrew Murray wrote in his book ‘The Real Pentecost’ that you must apply the blood if you want the Holy Spirit to come. He said that Jesus had to shed His blood first before the Holy Spirit was poured out. The Spirit answers the blood. When you want the Spirit, apply the blood, plead the blood and talk about the blood.

Isaiah 10:27 (KJV) And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the YOKE SHALL BE DESTROYED because of THE ANOINTING.

If you know all of these truths, you will start laughing at destruction. You must destroy destruction with the Word, the blood and the Anointing or the Spirit. Destroy destruction!
