Revelation 12:7-11 (KJV) And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Salvation has come. When the angels announced Jesus’ birth, they said that this day a child is born and His Name shall be called Jesus for He shall save the people from their sins. Jesus started to preach and said the Kingdom of God is at hand. The disciples went on after Jesus’ resurrection preaching the Kingdom of God. The power of the Christ means the power of the Anointing. Jesus declared that the Spirit of the LORD was upon Him for He has anointed Him to preach the gospel, to heal the sick and to set the captives free.

They overcame the devil by the blood of Jesus and the word of their testimony. There is more to this thing. The devil is the accuser, the serpent and the dragon. Hebrews 3 & 4 says that we must keep our confession and that is the fact that Jesus Christ is LORD.

Luke 11:18-22 (Amplified) And if Satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom last? For you say that I expel demons with the help of and by Beelzebub. Now if I expel demons with the help of and by Beelzebub, with whose help and by whom do your sons drive them out? Therefore they shall be your judges. But if I drive out the demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has [already] come upon you. When the strong man, fully armed, [from his courtyard] guards his own dwelling, his belongings are undisturbed [his property is at peace and is secure]. But whenone stronger than he attacks him and conquers him, he robs him of his whole armour on which he had relied and divides up and distributes all his goods as plunder (spoil).

The devil is cast out and the way to overcome is the blood and the Word of their testimony. Jesus said if He cast out devils, the Kingdom is here. The devil is also the strong man, but Jesus is the stronger man that overcomes him. He took his armour and disarmed him. Colossians 1:12-20 talks about the blood of the cross that redeemed us from sin and guilt. The blood of the cross brought us peace and brought us to God out of darkness into the Kingdom of His Son. Colossians 2:14 says when Jesus hung on the cross, He disarmed principalities and powers. He made a public display of them and triumphed over them in it on the cross. The cross overcame the wicked one.

Jesus was challenged on driving out devils here on the earth. It means devils are on earth. The war of Revelation 12 started at Jesus’ birth and went on to the cross when he was defeated. Satan challenged Jesus all through His life on earth. Jesus was tempted on earth by devils. The Stronger One, Jesus overcame Satan and disarmed him by the blood of the cross. We are overcomers. Jesus overcame the strong man on the cross by the blood. There is an overcoming power. Romans 8:37 says we are more than conquerors or more than overcomers through Christ who loves us. He is our High Priest who sits at the right hand of the Father and plea for us. (Hebrews 3-10) He has His own blood and intercedes before the Father for the people with that blood.

John 17:6-19 (KJV) I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gave me out of the world: thy they were, and thou gave them me; and they have kept thy word. Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. For I have given unto them the words which thou gave me; and they have received [them], and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me. I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thy. And all mine are thy, and thy are mine; and I am glorified in them.  And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thy own name those whom thou hast given me that they may be one, as we [are]. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gave me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled. And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves. I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that thou should take them out of the world, but that thou should keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

Jesus prayed this prayer as High Priest and said that the ones God gave Him must be kept in the world. He did not talk about taking them away, but keeping them here on the earth. Jesus prayed that they may be kept from the evil one who was cast out from heaven. Jesus cast out devils on earth and He was busy overcoming the evil one. He disarmed them by the blood on the cross. Jesus now prayed for us, who were going to be on the earth as He was, to overcome the devil as He did.

John 17:20 (KJV) Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word…

If you are a believer, Jesus has prayed for you. He prayed that you must overcome the devil while you are in this world by His blood and word. In John 11 Jesus came to the tomb of Lazarus and thanked the Father that He always hears Him. Then He asked the people to roll the stone away and commanded the dead to come out.

Before Jesus prayed He said something…

John 16:33 (KJV) These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Jesus’ prayer was about the world and He prayed for us that we will overcome the world. He said that He overcame the devil and disarmed him through the blood of the cross.

Hebrews 10:19-21 (KJV) Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; And [having] an high priest over the house of God…

Jesus is always in the presence of God to make intercession for us with His blood. Hebrews 9 says that Jesus went into the presence with His own blood and not the blood of bulls and goats once for all the saint. The way that is fresh and new is forever opened. The blood is there for the people that come. You can come anytime, knowing that there is blood in the presence of God and when He sees the blood, the destroyer will pass over.

Hebrews 10:22 (KJV) Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

The blood of Jesus is fresh and new. Jesus is praying that the Father will keep them who believe. He is praying that we overcome every trial. The overcoming power is the blood of Jesus that is fresh and new in the presence of God.  We have a High Priest who is interceding for us. Jesus is praying for you right now.

1 Timothy 2:6 says there is one Mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus. Romans 8:34 says Jesus is interceding for us. Hebrews 7:25 says Jesus lives forever to intercede for us. Jesus prays for us not that we will be taken out of the world, but that we will overcome. The overcoming power is in the blood when we see that the way is open and the blood is fresh and new. We must understand the power of the crucified Christ. It is the prayer of Jesus and His blood makes you an overcomer.

Revelation 21:6,7 (KJV) And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcome shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

If you can overcome, you will have all things. Romans 8:31 says God did not spare His own son, but gave Him up for us all. How much more shall He not freely give us all things? All things go directly to the blood of the cross.

1 John 4:1-7 (Amplified) BELOVED, DO not put faith in every spirit, but prove (test) the spirits to discover whether they proceed from God; for many false prophets have gone forth into the world. By this you may know (perceive and recognize) the Spirit of God: every spirit which acknowledges and confesses [the fact] that Jesus Christ (the Messiah) [actually] has become man and has come in the flesh is of God [has God for its source];And every spirit which does not acknowledge and confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh [but would annul, destroy, sever, disunite Him] is not of God [does not proceed from Him]. This [nonconfession] is the [spirit] of the antichrist, [of] which you heard that it was coming, and now it is already in the world. Little children, you are of God [you belong to Him] and have [already] defeated and overcome them [the agents of the antichrist], because He Who lives in you is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world. They proceed from the world and are of the world; therefore it is out of the world [its whole economy morally considered] that they speak, and the world listens (pays attention) to them. We are [children] of God. Whoever is learning to know God [progressively to perceive, recognize, and understand God by observation and experience, and to get an ever-clearer knowledge of Him] listens to us; and he who is not of God does not listen or pay attention to us. By this we know (recognize) the Spirit of Truth and the spirit of error.

Christ is in us. 1 Peter 1:18-22 says that we are redeemed from the world and corruption by the blood of Jesus. We are born again by the seed Word which is incorruptible. Revelation 2:7, 11, 17, 26& 3:5, 12, 21 talks about them who overcome. They will eat of the tree of Life, will not be touched by the second death, will eat of hidden manna, have power over nations, will be clothed with white clothes, will be a pillar in God’s temple and will sit with God on His throne. To all the seven churches, Jesus said they can overcome. Revelation 21:7 it says he that overcome, shall inherit all things. You can live an overcoming life. Now if you read all the things that the seven churches had to do before they could be overcomers, you are tired before you start. Jesus said before He prayed the prayer in John 17 that He has overcame the world. Then He started to pray for those that believe that they will overcome the world. Jesus said that He overcame the stronger one by the blood. His blood is in His hands as He intercedes for us at the throne of grace in the Most Holy Place. He is our High Priest who is praying for is with His blood.

1 John 5:4,5 (Amplified) For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith. Who is it that is victorious over [that conquers] the world but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on that fact]?

Overcoming is not fighting devils and demons, but understands the blood and belief and trust in the finished work of Jesus on the cross. By grace are we saved through faith and that is a gift of God. God gives us faith to be saved. (Romans 12:3) God has dealt to every man the measure of faith. The victory that conquers the world is our faith. The attack is in our faith life.

You come to God and believe what He tells you, but then you start to doubt. James 1 says that when you pray you must pray in faith and not doubt because a double minded man is unstable in all his ways and must not think that he will receive anything from God. Peter started to walk on the water when Jesus told him to come. He had the faith to start, but then he looked at the waves and doubt arose in his heart. Jesus told him that he had little faith. The attack Peter faced was on his faith. His faith made him walk, but the waves distracted him and he started to doubt. Distractions are an attack on your faith. James 3 says the trying of our faith works patience so that it becomes like gold that is refined in the fire.

Sometimes you go out in faith and expect something to come to you and suddenly just the opposite happens. Have your faith been tested? The overcoming power is our faith. God does not want us to be taken out of the world, but that we might be kept from the evil one on the earth. There is no such thing as being rapture to escape the problems on earth. God wants us to inherit the earth. He made us kings and priests on the earth. (Revelation 1:5, 5:9,10)

Everything that comes against your faith is a distraction. People sink while they are praying. They stress, doubt and are condemned while they pray. Hebrews 12:2 says that we must look away from distractions unto Jesus. You are running a race of faith and must not be hindered in the race. Then you will finish well. People run the race and are distracted by the mountain they are facing. They rebuke it with doubt in their hearts and the next day there is a mountain range. They rebuke the fig tree, but the next day there is a forest.

It is time to forget the distractions and start looking at Jesus. The most powerful emotion is to ignore something. When you look at Jesus, you ignore the distractions. Jesus is the Author and the Finisher of our faith.

1 Timothy 6:12 (Amplified) Fight the good fight of the faith; lay hold of the eternal life to which you were summoned and [for which] you confessed the good confession [of faith] before many witnesses.

Habakkuk 2:4, Romans 1:7, Galatians 3:11 & Hebrews 10:34 say that righteous shall live by faith. You must fight the fight of faith to keep it so that you will be able to overcome the world. You are not going to be taken out of the world, so you must overcome it. When you overcome, you are kept from the evil one and you will receive all things. 2 Timothy 4:7 says he has kept his faith. In Luke 22:32 Jesus told Peter that Satan desired to sift him, but He prayed for him, that his faith failed not. It is our faith that overcomes the world. Hebrews 11:6 says without faith it is impossible to please God. He that goes to God must believe that He is and a rewarder of them who seeks Him. God wants to give us all things and all He asks of us is to keep our eyes on Him and away from the distractions. He wants us to trust Him, knowing that He is praying for us with His blood in the presence of the Father.

Romans 8:26-28 (Amplified) So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance. And He Who searches the hearts of men knows what is in the mind of the [Holy] Spirit [what His intent is], because the Spirit intercedes and pleads [before God] in behalf of the saints according to and in harmony with God’s will.We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labour] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose.

The Holy Spirit is our Helper. When we are filled with the Spirit, we speak in other tongues. When you pray in other tongues, you pray in the Spirit. (1 Corinthians 14:14) Jesus is praying at the right hand of the Father, while the Spirit of God is in us here on earth, helping us to pray. He prays through us the things that we do not rightly know how to pray for. Our faith might be under attack and that is the times when we pray for something, but because we do not know how to pray rightly, the Holy Spirit comes to our aid and helps us. Then all things work together for those who loves God and are called according to His purpose. Jesus said that He knows that the Father always hears Him and answers His prayers. You’ve got to trust the Holy Spirit and Jesus to pray for you and you will be an overcomer. Then you know that your prayers get answered.
