Romans 10:17 says that faith comes by hearing. When Jesus spoke to the crowds, He said over and over to them that those who have an ear to hear must hear. On the Isle of Patmos, the angel appeared to John and told the seven churches that those who have an ear must hear what the Spirit says to the churches. You’ve got to have a spiritual ear to have faith… Faith comes by hearing the Word. What Word does He refer to? Romans 10:16 says, “Who has believed our report?” That is quoted from Isaiah 53:1-5. It says that Jesus was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was upon Him and by His stripes we are healed. Verse 1 says, “Who has believed our report and to whom was the arm of the LORD revealed?” Paul referred to the prophecy of the crucified Christ. Faith comes by hearing that report. It is because of Christ that was crucified that we could be free and delivered. Jesus paid the price to set us free from sin and unrighteousness. He paid the price to make us whole, well and healed.

Isaiah 53:6, 7 says that we all went astray like sheep, but we have now come back to the Shepherd of our souls. Isaiah 53:10 says that when He offered up His soul for sin, He shall see His offspring. When you are born again, you become the seed of a Godly Family. You become the seed of Christ. Acts 8 says who will declare His generation? There is a generation on the earth that is the generation of Christ. That generation could only come forth when Jesus poured out His Soul as an offering. We see the torn Body of Jesus on the cross, but a body without feelings means nothing. The five senses belong to our soul, which has a mind. Jesus did not only pay a price in His Body, He felt every blow of that whip, and the rejection of the people. He felt it to offer His Soul as a sacrifice.

When Jesus died He gave up His Spirit into the Hands of the Father. His Body went to the tomb. His Soul went to hell. Psalm 16:10, 11 say, You shall not leave My Soul in hell to see corruption, but in Your Presence there is fullness of joy. Jesus declared that His Soul shall not stay in hell, but shall come out into the Presence of God. When Jesus’ soul went to hell, He preached to the souls there that were disobedient in the days of Noah, He did not preach to bodies in hell. The bodies were in tombs. The spirits were with God.

In Acts 2:27-31 Peter preached to the people after the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and said that this Jesus they crucified was raised from the dead, because His soul would not be left in hell to see corruption.

In Genesis 2 when God created man, God breathed Spirit into man and the man stood up and become a living soul. It is the Spirit of Life in the man that makes him a living soul. The Soul went to hell and preached to the souls that were disobedient, and the Body was in the tomb. Romans 8:11 says that the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in us and He will quicken our mortal bodies. It is time to become living souls again. For years people were just existing, but Jesus Christ came to give us Life. (John 10:10) How do people have Life? By being a living soul. You can be a living soul by the Holy Spirit. When God breathed His breath of Life upon man, he stood up a living soul. Man’s soul is not living and so Jesus came to bring Life there. Our spirit is alive and it cannot die. The Word says that you must not fear them that can kill the body, but fear Him, Who has the power over the body and the soul.

We concentrated so much on the spirit that we forgot that the soul is the determining factor in our lives. Psalm 107:22 says that He sent His Word to heal them and to deliver them from all destruction. 3 John 2 says to the beloved that he wishes above all things that they will prosper and be in health as their souls prosper. If our souls are in the right position, we will be healthy and prosperous. Our souls are the determining factor where we stand. Proverbs 23:7 says that even as a man thinks in his heart, so shall he be. You think in your mind and that which you think in your mind is situated in your soul. Your soul or mind or thoughts make you what you are. Through the years it was not preached because the church preached the opposite. If you can get your soul in a prospering position, you can be healthy and wealthy and everything good will come to you. In Matthew 11:28 Jesus says that all must come to Him that are heavy laden and labor, for He shall give them rest. Learn from Him for He is meek and gentle of heart and you shall find rest for your souls. When you come to Jesus it is rest for your soul. If you’ve got rest, you’ve got peace.

Philippians 4:6-9 (Amplified) Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them]. Practice what you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and model your way of living on it, and the God of peace (of untroubled, undisturbed well-being) will be with you.

If you’ve got the peace of God, the God of Peace will be with you. It is in fear and anxiety and stress that the devil finds entrance into your life with sicknesses and infirmities. Most sicknesses are stress related. When Jesus was born the angels proclaimed peace on earth and goodwill to all men. When Jesus went to the cross He gave His peace to us. When He came out of the grave and appeared to the twelve, He said, “Peace!” Jesus taught the disciples to give peace to the houses they came too and He told them to go and preach the gospel of peace. Jesus is the Prince of Peace and with Him you find rest for your souls.

Isaiah 55:2 (KJV) Wherefore do you spend money for that which is not bread? And your LABOR for that which satisfies not? HEAR (Listen) diligently unto me, and eat you that which is good, and let your SOUL DELIGHT ITSELF in FATNESS.

When you labor, you must come to Jesus and find rest. Let your souls delight itself in the fatness of the anointing. When you delight yourself in the LORD, He will give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:4) Your soul delights in the LORD when you hear and listen. You’ve got to have an ear to hear. When you’ve got an ear to hear, your soul will find its delight in the fatness or the Anointing. Isaiah 10:27 says that the yoke shall be destroyed in that day, because of the anointing. A yoke is upon the necks of oxen and donkeys. Matthew 11:28 says that when you are heavy laden and burdened with yokes you must come to Him. Jesus takes the yoke off and destroys it, and He then He gives something that is easy and light. Christianity becomes a struggle to so many people, meanwhile Jesus said that He put a light and easy yoke on us. Christ is the Anointing and when you come in Him, He breaks the yokes that burden us down. Then you get rest for your soul and your soul prospers, and then you become healthy and prosperous in all things.

Things that bring us health are the Anointing and peace. Things that bring sickness are stress and a troubled soul. We talk Bible and not what magazines say.

Isaiah 55:3(a) (KJV) INCLINE YOUR EAR, and come unto me: HEAR, and your SOUL shall live…

The Word declares that your souls shall live, not your spirit or body. We are living souls. Jesus gave His Soul as a sacrifice for our sins. When the Spirit raised Jesus from the tomb, He stood up a Living Soul. Now He says that you can come to Him and find rest for your souls. He is the Anointed One that brings a delight to our souls and brings the desires back to us, because He came so that we might have Life and have it in abundance.

What about our spirits? God is Spirit. The Word Spirit and wind is the exact same word. When God breathed over them, He blew Wind or Life or Spirit over them. God is Breath and Spirit. In the beginning was the Word and the Word was God and all things were made by Him. In Him was Life. The Life was the Light of man. (John 1:1-5) Man lived in darkness. Matthew 4:16 says that the people that sat in darkness saw a great light. Jesus came and brought light to the people. The soul life that was caused by the Breath of God to make man a living soul came back to earth to give us life again so that we can be a living soul again. As your soul prospers, you will be healthy and prosperous, because Jesus offered His Soul as a sacrifice for sins.

The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in us and He will quicken our mortal bodies. Quickening means to be alive, restored, renewed and refreshed. Our bodies will be vigorous and full of life because

the Spirit of Christ makes us a living soul again.

Isaiah 55:6,7(a) (KJV) Seek you the LORD while he may be found, call you upon him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts…

There is a way that is wicked. Proverbs 14:12 says that there is a way that seems right to man, but the end of it is destruction. Proverbs 3:6 says acknowledge the LORD in all your ways and He will give you ways to walk in. Isaiah 35:8 says that there is a way called the Holy Highway . The unrighteous has ways and thoughts that are not God’s ways and thoughts.

Isaiah 55:7-9 (KJV) Let the wicked forsakes his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways says the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are MY WAYS HIGHER than your ways, and MY THOUGHTS HIGHER than your thoughts.

The word higher also means above or of another realm. There is a way that is better and higher.

Colossians 3:1-3 (Amplified) IF THEN you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, thus sharing His resurrection from the dead], AIM AT and SEEK the [rich, eternal treasures] that are ABOVE, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. [Psalm 110:1]. And SET YOUR MINDS and keep them set on what is ABOVE (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth. For [as far as this world is concerned] you have died, and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God.

You’ve got to think godly things for even as a man thinks, so is he. Set your mind on higher things, which means God’s thoughts. You find God’s thoughts in His Word. God printed out His thoughts. He says: “This is what I think and this is Who I AM.” When Moses asked Him who He is, He said: “I AM.” How would the people know Who You are? He said: “Write it down and give it to the people.” God told Joshua that this Word must not depart from his eyes and mouth, but he must meditate upon it day and night. (Joshua 1:8) So shall he be successful and prosperous in all his ways. God told Joshua to meditate His Thoughts so that he could become successful and prosperous in all his ways.

Psalm 1:2,3 (KJV) But his DELIGHT IS IN THE LAW OF THE LORD; and in his law does he MEDITATE day and night. And he shall be LIKE A TREE PLANTED BY THE RIVERS of water that BRINGS FORTH HIS FRUIT in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever HE DOES SHALL PROSPER.

Meditate is to think. It is not for the spiritualists and ghurus. Meditate is to think deeply. Think God’s thoughts by meditating on higher things. Colossians 3:3 says that our lives are hidden with Christ in God. Then nothing can touch you. You are save. If you’ve got peace, you are save.

Romans 8:1 (Amplified) THEREFORE, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus, who live [and] walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit.

Condemnation is the biggest hindrance to answered prayers. Condemnation stops you from receiving miracle power. 1 John 3:19,20 says that when your heart condemns you not, you have boldness toward God and whatsoever you ask you receive. When your heart condemns you, God is greater than your heart. Do not feel condemn. That means that you must not walk after the flesh. Your way is how you walk. To be out of condemnation means that you must find God’s way. You’ve got to get your walk right.

Galatians 5:16 says that you must walk in the Spirit and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. The walk of the flesh and the walk of the Spirit oppose one another and you cannot do what you want to do. You’ve got a desire to please God, but you can’t get it right when you walk in the way of the flesh and not the Spirit. When you walk in the Spirit, you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. How do you walk in the Spirit?

Romans 8:2(a) (Amplified) For the LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE [which is] in CHRIST JESUS…

Genesis 2:7Romans 8:11 and Jesus on the cross says the law of the Breath of God that gives Life. It says the law of God’s breath. It says the law of the Spirit Life. In Jesus was Life and He came that we might have life. The Spirit that gave life to Jesus shall give you life. God wants us to be a living soul. He wants us to be well in our souls. If your soul prosper, you will be healthy and prosperous. Get your soul right.

Romans 8:2(b) (Amplified) …[the law of our new being] has freed me from the law of sin and of death.

There are two laws. Death reigned from Adam to Moses. The Law or sin reigned from Moses to Christ. Now that Christ came, grace reigns. Christ is the law of Life.

Romans 8:3 (Amplified) For God has done what the Law could not do, [its power] being weakened by the flesh [the entire nature of man without the Holy Spirit]. Sending His own Son in the guise of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, [God] condemned sin in the flesh [subdued, overcame, deprived it of its power over all who accept that sacrifice]…

The Body of Jesus was nailed on the cross, but the price was paid in the Soul. He sacrificed His Soul. The Body was the carrier of the Soul. The Spirit had to bring the Body back to life by getting the Soul out of hell.

Romans 8:4 (Amplified) So that the righteous and just requirement of the Law might be fully met in us who live and move not in the ways of the flesh but in the WAYS OF THE SPIRIT [our lives governed not by the standards and according to the dictates of the flesh, but controlled by the Holy Spirit].

To get all the benefits, you’ve got walk a way that is not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Romans 8:5,6 (Amplified) For those who are according to the flesh and are controlled by its unholy desires set their minds on and pursue those things which gratify the flesh. But those who are according to the Spirit and are controlled by the desires of the Spirit set their minds on and seek those things, which gratify the [Holy] Spirit. Now the MIND of the flesh [which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit] is death [death that comprises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter]. But the MIND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT is LIFE AND [SOUL] PEACE [both now and forever].

Spiritual mindedness is Life. You find peace and life in your soul. You get it with your mind. Your mind is in your soul. Your soul is the determining factor in your life. As you think, so are you. People struggle with the way and the walk. That comes after the thought and the mind gets right. Thoughts determine your walk. Carnal mindedness makes you fleshly. Spiritual mindedness makes you spiritual.

Is your soul well with God? G H Paffert sang a song in 1946, which says that it is well with my soul. Is it well with your soul or are you disturbed?

Isaiah 55:9 (KJV) For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

If you get your thought right, your ways will be right. Do not struggle to walk right. Get your thoughts right. If your thoughts are right, your walk will be right. You walk where you thought and thought where you walk.

Isaiah 55:10,11 (KJV) For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and returns not thither, but waters the earth, and makes it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater. So shall MY WORD be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall PROSPER in the thing whereto I sent it.

God sent His Word to heal us and deliver us from all destruction. His Word shall do what is send for and prosper in it. That was what God told Joshua in Joshua 1:8Psalm 1 says that the man that meditates His Word shall prosper. 3 John 2 says that you will prosper and be in health when your soul prospers. As a man think so is he. Get your soul life right and come to Jesus and cast your cares and burdens on Him. Then you’ll get His yoke that is light and easy. Set your mind on the things that are above and meditate godly thoughts, which is the Word. You walk will come right.

As the rain comes down and do things. Rain cannot bud and bring forth fruit. It is just the instrument that makes the tree to grow. The rain itself does not give the increase, but the tree. God’s Word does the same as the rain. Rain comes down, but it does not return as rain. The Word comes also to do things, but it returns in a different form. When you preach it brings faith into the hearts of the people that believes the report. Faith is the thing that gets things from God. Faith is the substance of the things hoped for and the evidence of the things not seen. The Word comes as the rain and it falls on the people. It goes in through the ears and the eyes. Both senses are coupled with the mind. If you have an ear to hear, you must hear. The rain waters the tree to grow. Then the rain goes back to heaven as vapor. Vapor is condensed water and it forms clouds and then it falls to the earth again as rain or snow. The Word works the same way. It comes as rain and causes the person who heard it to grow.  It is changed into a different form. When you meditate on the Word, it produces the fruit in the person’s life that hears it. Word is changed into thoughts that bring forth fruit when it is meditated upon. Then your ways become prosperous.

We do not know what other people think, but God knows. Are they good and righteous or evil and unrighteous? That thoughts will determine how your walk will be. Your thoughts can be spiritual or fleshly. Fleshly thoughts do not please God. They that walk after the Spirit will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. You stumble because you try to walk right, but you must get your thoughts right. If your thoughts are God’s thoughts, your ways will be God’s ways. Beloved, we pray above all things that you will prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers.
