For years the church has been infiltrated by doctrines which prepared her for heaven, thereby indirectly indicating that it will be our inheritance when we die. But you do not die to receive an inheritance. Somebody who has a will describes it in a testament and when he dies he leaves an inheritance to the beneficiary.
